Nordic Engineering Inc. Services: Grading and Drainage
A Grading and Drainage Plan shows the location of the new structures and provides details required to build the foundation, driveway and/or parking lot, as well as any retaining walls and drainage features that may be required. This plan must be signed and stamped by a registered Civil Engineer and is required in order to obtain a grading permit. Grading plans will show drainage away from structures and through treatment swales, and other drainage features. Storm water needs to be controlled so that it does not flow too quickly, and cause erosion, or flow onto neighboring property that is not allotted for this use. Bay area Cities have strict storm drainage requirements and Nordic Engineering is very familiar with these requirements.
